1. Who we are

This store is operated by “BM Tech Company” Limited, a company registered in Bulgaria (company no. (EIK) 208797240), registered address 6 Nikolay Haytov St., Entrance B, Office 3, Iztok Residential Complex, Izgrev District, 1113 Sofia, Bulgaria (“Luminary Chapters”, “we”, “us”). By using this website or placing an order you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. You must be at least 18 to place an order.

2. What we sell

We create personalized children's storybooks. You provide a child's first name and a photo; we generate illustrations in which the child appears as the hero of the story, show you a free preview, and — if you order — print and ship the finished book. Because every book is made to your specification, the rules for personalized goods in sections 6 and 7 apply.

3. Your content and your promises to us

When you upload a photo or enter a name (“Your Content”), you promise that:

  • you own the photo or have the right to use it;
  • you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or you have the express permission of the child's parent or legal guardian to use the child's name and photo;
  • Your Content is not unlawful, offensive, or infringing anyone's rights.

You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to host, reproduce, and adapt Your Content solely to create your preview, produce your book, and provide customer support. This license ends when Your Content is deleted under our Privacy Policy (automatically after 30 days if you don't purchase). We will never use Your Content, or the artwork made from it, for advertising or any other purpose without your separate written consent.

We may decline to produce a book if an upload appears to violate these Terms (for example, a photo you clearly have no right to use), and will refund any payment for an order we decline.

4. The preview and generated artwork

  • The preview is free and carries no obligation to buy.
  • Illustrations are generated from your photo with the help of AI tools and are approximations — we aim for a faithful, delightful likeness, and our make-it-right guarantee backs that up, but pixel-perfect resemblance to the photo is not guaranteed.
  • Colors on screen may differ slightly from print.
  • The stories, story templates, illustration styles, characters, and all other content of the site are our intellectual property (or our licensors'). Your finished book is for personal, non-commercial use — you can't reproduce or resell the artwork or stories, other than enjoying and gifting the printed book itself.

5. Orders, prices, and payment

  • Your order is an offer to buy; the contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation email.
  • Prices are shown at checkout in your selected currency and include VAT where applicable. Orders shipped outside the European Union (including to the United States) may be subject to import duties or taxes levied at the destination, which are the recipient's responsibility unless stated otherwise at checkout.
  • Payment is taken in full at checkout through our payment providers. We stay the owner of the goods until payment has been received in full.
  • If a price is obviously wrong due to a technical error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full before dispatch.

6. Cancellations and the right of withdrawal

Each book is printed on demand for one specific child, so:

  • You may request changes or cancellation by emailing info@luminarychapters.com as soon as possible after ordering. If your book has not yet entered production, we will change or cancel it and refund you in full. Once it is in production, it can no longer be changed or cancelled.
  • For consumers in the European Union: the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized (Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU and the corresponding provision of the Bulgarian Consumer Protection Act).

None of this limits your rights if something is wrong with the book — see section 7.

7. Faulty or damaged books — make-it-right guarantee

If your book arrives damaged, has a printing or binding defect, contains a personalization error we made, or the likeness genuinely misses the mark, we will reprint it free of charge or refund you — your choice. Full details and how to claim are in our Refund Policy. Your statutory rights (including the legal guarantee of conformity for EU consumers and any non-waivable rights under the law of your country of residence) are not affected by anything in these Terms.

8. Delivery

Production and delivery times shown on the site are estimates. Details, destinations, and what happens with lost or undeliverable parcels are in our Shipping Policy. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

9. Our liability

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
  • Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
  • The website itself is provided “as is”; we don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.

10. General

  • We may update these Terms; the version in force when you place an order applies to that order.
  • If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force.
  • These Terms are governed by Bulgarian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts where the law gives you that right.
